The Rusty Spur Ranch is
located in the mountains of North Idaho. It is a superb
setting for raising and training performance horses. The
lush pastures provide a great place for our foals to
grow and learn. Sharing their pasture with elk, deer, wild
turkeys and the occasional black bear, they learn to be sure
footed and think for themselves.
Corey and Robin
Medley moved to Rusty Spur Ranch in 2004 with the idea in
mind to raise their beautiful daughter Jayce and performance
horses in this pristine setting. The Medley's have
raised their mares since they were foals. They are
chosen for their disposition, conformation, cow smarts, and
trainability.
Robin Medley was
born into horses. Her parents John & Sue Dennis both trained
horses. Her fathers love for a great cow horse was passed
onto her. It became her dream to raise and train performance
horses, more specifically reined cowhorse due to their
versatility.
Corey Medley has a
great admiration for the performance horse and loves what he
has learned . He brings fresh ideas to the ranch. His
passions also include family, hunting and his job.
Jayce Medley is 4
years old and loves all animals. She has a pony named
Tyler and her own dog Sissy. She loves running, playing, and
getting dirty on the ranch. At the tender age of 4 she has
already seen more black bears than most will ever see in a
lifetime.
